Protection Works Notice
We act on your behalf to complete and issue the protection works notice
We understand the building process and what is required to complete your protection works notice.
As part of the building permit process, the building surveyor may determine that your building works are subject to protection. This is usually required if any of the construction works are on or within 1 metre of the adjoining boundaries.
The purpose of the protection notice is to advise the adjoining owner that there is going to be works that may affect the boundary & give them the opportunity to respond.
Protection works are a legal requirement & need to be issued specifically as required by law. A building surveyor will not be able to issue a building permit until the protection work notice and accompanying documents are issued to the adjoining property owner and they have assessed it and requested any further information and provided consent.
Getting the process right means reduced delays in getting your permit and commencing construction.
